LADS OF TIPPERARY. AKA and see "Buck of Tipperary (The)," "Bucks of Tipperary (The)," "Malachy Daly," "Nurse's Song (The)," "Old Rolling Cork," "Prince William Henry's Return," "Taladh," Irish, Jig (6/8 time). D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABBCCDD. As it resembles "Over the River to Charlie (1)" it may by a derivative or a special development, or it may have "borrowed" features of that tune, states Bayard (1981). The jig was entered into the mid-19th century music manuscript collection of County Cork uilleann piper and Church of Ireland cleric James Goodman. See also the related "Bucks of Tipperary (The)", also from a publication by O'Farrell.
