The melody and dance directions were printed by John Hinton in his periodical The Universal Magazine of Knowledge and Pleasure (London, August, 1750, p. 78). Later that year it appeared in John Johnson's Compleat Collection of 200 Favourite Country Dances, vol. 5 (London, 1750, p. 23).
