LARICKILLE. AKA and see "Am Bodach Lúideach Odhar," "Miss Johnson's Reel (3)," "Monro's Rant (The)," "Munro's Rant," "Peep o' Day (2)." Scottish, Strathspey. D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABBCCDD. John Glen (1891) finds the earliest printing of the tune in biography:Alexander McGlashan's 1780 collection, although he also finds the "earliest printing" of the tune under the name "Monro's Rant (The)" in bigoraphy:Angus Cumming's collection printed the same year. Stewart-Robertson has a version called "Am Bodach Lúideach Odhar" in his Athole Collection (1884). The strathspey was later published by briography:Robert Petrie in his Third Collection (c. 1800) under the title "Peep a Day" ("Peep o' Day (2)"). The first strain of "Miss Ross's Reel (2)" and Joshua Campbell's "Perth Hunt (2) (The)" are shared with this tune family, although the second strains diverge.
