SWEET BIDDY OF BALLYVOURNEY (Brigidin milis/deas ui/ua Baile-Muirne). Irish, Reel (cut time). G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB. See and compare the first strains of “Pretty Girls of Mayo,” and “Sweeney’s Reel.” Breathnach (1963) is of the opinion that the second part of this tune in the O’Neill's collections does not go with the first part. Paul de Grae finds variants as “Music in the Forge,” Breathnach’s “Tameen's Reel,” Willie Clancy's "Ceol na gCeártan" and “Irishman's Love (2)” in Ryan’s Mammoth Collection (1883).
