"The Montreal fiddle and guitar duo Joyeux Montréalais recorded the tune in 1934 as "Reel de Richmond (Le)." This duo was Clark & Luches Kessinger. Their recording of "Richmond Polka" (Brunswick 309) was also issued under the pseudonym and French title on Brunswick 52077. The recording was made on 5 Feb 1929 in NYC.
