REEL DES COLONS [1]. French-Canadian, Reel (cut time). The reel is a variant of the Irish reel "Rolling in a Barrel (1)," with parts generally reversed. Isidore Soucy recorded two versions of the tune in 1927 under the titles "Quadrille "Laurier" 6ème partie" and "Quadrille de campagne 6ème partie" for Starr and Columbia records, respectively.
