TEDDY MALO'S JIG. AKA and see "Welcome to Cork." American (?), Jig (6/8 time). G Major/Mixolydian. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. "Teddy Malos' Jig" is credited to "J. Hand" in Ryan's Mammoth Collection (1883). Two performers, John and Jimmy Hand, have been credited with several tunes in Boston music publisher Elias Howe's volumes (which includes Ryan's Mammoth Collection). The Hands (probably brothers) are thought to be regional New England musicians from the mid-to-latter 19th century.
