BALLROOM FAVOURITE NO. 2. Irish, "Barn Dance" (4/4 time). D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The tune is a distanced variant of "Mrs. Kenny's Barndance" (also known as "Woodland Flowers (1)"), recorded in New York by influential County Sligo fiddler Michael Coleman (1888-1947).

Source for notated version : - from a 1934 Decca 78 RPM recording of flute player John McKenna (1891-1945) and banjo player Michael Gaffney, both originally from County Leitrim, via accordion player Charlie Harris (County Galway) [Taylor].
