TENNESSEE HORNPIPE. American, Jig (6/8 time). USA, southwestern Pa. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). ABBC. Collector and musicologist Samuel Bayard found a version of the tune set as a waltz in the English "Shepherd's Wife (1) (The)," and also noticed a general resemblance to Canadian radio and TV fiddler Don Messer's "Bell's Favorite."
