WIVES OF KILWINNON, THE. AKA and see "Lads of Kilwinning (The)." Scottish. John Glen (1891) finds the earliest appearance of this tune in print in Robert Bremner's 1768 2nd collection (p. 111). The tune was entered by Northumbrian musician William Vickers in his large 1770 music manuscript collection as "Lads of Kilwinning."
