ST. BERNARD WALTZ. English, Waltz (3/4 time). The St. Bernard’s Waltz is a rather elementary couple or ‘sequence’ dance that was quite popular in the 1930’s, and for several decades thereafter. Its popularity has diminished in modern times, although it is sometimes still called for at dances. An early recording was the 1934 78 RPM by Bob Smith and His Ideal Band.
