"Arrane Ghelby" is a traditional Manx air from a book of Manx songs and dances, Kiauall yn Theay. A kelpie is a water sprite, sometimes in the form of a horse or an enchanted seal, that can also take on the form of a young adult. They are also known in Gaelic as Each Uisge (Water Horse). Kelpies are the guardian spirits of certain rivers, lochs and pools.
