ANNIE ALLAN. Scottish, Hornpipe (2/4 time). F Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB. "Annie Allan" was composed by Aberdeenshire fiddler-composer and Scottish dancing master wikipedia:James Scott Skinner (1843-1927). Annie Allan is a common name, but the tune is sandwiched between two tunes in Skinner's collection ("Ellon Castle" and "Mr. A.G. Wilken's Favourite") that are associated with Ellon, Aberdeenshire. Records indicated that an Anne Jane Allan (1850-1929, later Mrs. Finnie) was born at Ellon. It is a wisp of a suggestion, but there is no recorded connection with Skinner.
