FAR AWAY WEDDING [3], THE. Irish, Jig (6//8 time). D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. "Far Away Wedding [3]" can be found in the large mid-19th century music manuscript collection of County Cork Church of Ireland cleric and uilleann piper wikipedia:James_Goodman_(musicologist) (1828-1896). The jig is a member of an old tune family that appears to be of Scottish/English provenance, with many of its variants having Borders associations.
