TOM MORAN’S FANCY. Irish, Slide (12/8 time). Breathnach (CRÉ II), 1976; No. 80 (appears as untitled slide). The tune is sourced to 20th century Westmeath accordion player John Joe Gannon. It is named for his source, a local fiddler named Tom Moran. Gannon said that when he was young flings were as common in his area as jigs and reels.
