MISS WRIGHT'S REEL. AKA and see "Swallow's Tail Reel (1)." Irish, Reel (cut time). A Dorian. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB. "Miss Wright's Reel" is contained in the large early 20th century music manuscript collection that was in the possession of Rev. Luke Donnellan (1878-1952), a parish priest in south Armagh and a fiddler. Donnellan researcher Gerry O'Connor believes that the ms. was not original with the curate but rather came into his possession, having been compiled by an unknown but able fiddler over the course of his lifetime (probably late 19th century).
