The tune was entered twice[1] into the mid-19th century music manuscript of uilleann piper and Church of Ireland cleric James Goodman [1], set in two different keys. Brendan Breathnach collected a slide/single jig version as "Up and Down the Stairs" (Suas agus Síos an Staighre).
