BRAES OF ABERARDER. AKA and see "Brown Cow Jumped over the Fence (The)," "Lady Madelina Sinclair (1)." Scottish, Strathspey. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB. The composition is claimed by Charles Duff and published 1790, but also appears, re-titled, in the Gow's Third Collection (1792). Boston music publisher Elias Howe printed a reel-time version of the tune under the title "Brown Cow Jumped over the Fence (The)."
