CLOG EN FA [2]. AKA and see "Fred Wilson's Clog." French-Canadian, Clog (4/4 time). F Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABBAA'BB'. Boucher's "Clog en Fa" is a 'crooked' (asymmetrical) version of perhaps the most famous clog dance of all, "Fred Wilson's Clog (1)." Researcher Jean Duval notes that: "Sections B and B' are fine examples of the are of asymmetrical variation by repeating patterns that some Quebec fiddlers of the past loved." Duval finds that Boucher called the tune "Vieux clog" (Old Clog) in his unpublished 1927 precursor to his printed 1933 collection.
