MR. COMPTON OF COMPTON HALL. AKA - "Mr. Compton of Carham-hall’s Reel." Scottish, Reel. A Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB (Athole): AABB' (Kerr). The tune is credited to Alexander Givan (1752 1803) of Kelso by Nathaniel Gow (1817), who was famous for his popular composition “Teviot Bridge/Teviot Brig.”
