SCOTCH REEL [7], A. AKA and see "Lustian's Reel." Scottish(?), Reel (whole time). D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABBCC. This untitled reel is contained in the 1760's music manuscript collection of Cumbrian musician Joseph Barnes. John Offord edited the tune to begin on the first 'd' note. A fairly close version of the tune appears in Elias Howe's Musician's Omnibus Nos. 6 & 7 (Boston, 1882-1883) under the title "Lustian's Reel."
