LISHMAN'S SECOND HORNPIPE.AKA - "Lishman's 2nd Hornpipe." English, Hornpipe (cut time). England, Cumberland. B Flat Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. This unnamed hornpipe is contained in Book 13 (No. 81) of the Browne Family music manuscript collection, Troutbeck, Lake District, Cumberland. The book is thought to contain tunes entered by James Lishman, and, in modern times the hornpipe has been named for him (see "James Lishman's Hornpipe" for the first tune his name was bestowed upon).
