Ed Haley

GARFIELD'S BLACKBERRY BLOSSOM. AKA and see "Blackberry Blossom (4)." American, Reel. USA, northeast Ky. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. From legendary northeast Ky. fiddler wikipedia:Ed_Haley (1885-1951), although also played by Kentucky fiddlers Buddy Thomas and J.P. Fraley. The tune was usually known simply as "Blackberry Blossom(s)," but has been called "Garfield's Blackberry Blossom" to differentiate it from the more common reel called "Blackberry Blossom." Compare also with the similar "Yew Piney Mountain."

See note for annotation:Blackberry Blossom (4).
