HINCHY'S DELIGHT (Aoibneasa Ui h-Aengusa). AKA - "Taigleacd Iansiag." AKA and see "Henchey's Delight." Irish, Double Jig. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB (O'Neill/Krassen, 1850): AABBCC (O'Neill/1001 Gems). See also "Hinchy's Fancy." The melody was recorded in 1937 by the Aughrim Slopes Ceilidhe Band as "Henchy's Delight".

Source for notated version: New York fiddler Tom Hinchy, originally from County Clare, by way of the whistling of Daniel Rogers, a native of East Clare living in Chicago, who had learned it from Hinchy-the title is O'Neill's [O'Neill]; New Jersey flute player Mike Rafferty, born in Ballinakill, Co. Galway, in 1926 [Harker].
