LET'S BE GAY. American, Reel. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. A variant of venerable "<incipit title="load:perth" width=850 link="https://tunearch.org/wiki/Duke of Perth">Duke of Perth</incipit>," an early 18th century British reel. Musician and researcher Conor Ward finds a cognate tune in Co. Leitrim musician Stephen Grier's c. 1882 manuscript collection under the title "<incipit title="load:room" width=850 link="https://tunearch.org/wiki/All Round the Room">All Round the Room</incipit>."
