REEL FRACO-AMÉRICAIN. French-Canadian, Reel (cut time). D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. "Reel Franco-américain" is a tune of unknown origin from the playing of fiddler biography:Albert LaMadeleine (1905-1986), son of the prolific biography:J.O. LaMadeleine (1879-1973). It was recorded in 1976 on Albert's last recording, a rare extended-play 33RPM for the Bonanza label (B-29656) entitled "Le Reel Mirabel." Somewhat confusingly, Albert used his father's name on the album cover, J.O. La Madeleine, although his father had died in 1973.
