TOORMORE JIG (Port an Túir Mhóir). Irish, Jig (6/8 time). D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Editor Jackie Small (CRÉ V, 1999) says there are many Sliabh Luachra jigs with this name, although this one seems unrelated to any others by that name (Toormore is the name of a village in the region). Tunes that are related, finds Small, are “Oak Stick (3),” “Humors of Kilkee (1) (The),” “Better Than Worse,” and “Foxy Mary.”
