JIMMY O' THE BU'S POLKA. AKA and see "old Polka (The)." Scottish, Polka. Scotland, Orkney Islands. D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB'. An un-named tune from the island of Hoy in the south of Orkney, called after its source. The tune is played as a polka on Orkney, despite the 4/4 setting which lends itself to interpretations as a barndance or schottische. The first strain is cognate with (but not identical) to "Beatrice Hill's Three Handed Reel," and the second strains are harmonically congruent although melodically different.
