Scottish, Strathspey (cut time). D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB. Fr. John Quinn finds the tune to be a version of "Delvin House (1)," whose earliest appearance is in Alexander McGlashan's c. 1780 collection. The tune has variously been attributed to Niel Gow, Abraham Mackintosh and others, and a firm attribution has not been established.
