WALK ALONG JOHN TO KANSAS. AKA and see "Little Rabbit," "Rabbit Where's Your Mammy? (2). Old Time, Breakdown. USA, Arizona. A Major. AEae or AEac# tunings (fiddle). AA'BB'. Arizona fiddler Kartchner identified the tune as having come from the South. "Walk along John to Kansas was recorded in the field by Alan Lomax (1867-1948) from the playing of Frank Goodwyn (1911-2001, guitar) and Mrs. F.E. Goodwyn (fiddle), of Hebbronville, Texas, in 1941.
