Source for notated version : - Tennessee fiddler Howard 'Howdy' Forrester (1922-1987) via John Hartford [Devil's Box, Phillips]. Forrester, who was a member of Bill Monroe's and Roy Acuff's bands, straddled several American fiddle genres; old-time, bluegrass and Texas or 'contest' style.
