County Cork cleric and uilleann piper James Goodman entered the tune in volume 3 (p. 98) of his large mid-19th century music manuscript collection as "Swansea Hornpipe", however he entered the same tune in his volume 1 (p. 244) with the title "A Welsh Hornpipe."
