INGONISH JIG. Canadian, Double Jig. Canada, Cape Breton. E Dorian. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Composed perhaps by Cape Breton fisherman and fiddler Mike MacDougall (d. 1980), of Ingonish Beach, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. Dunlay & Greenberg say MacDougall may have composed it, or it may be Irish in origin.
