JOLLY SEVEN, THE ("An Moirseisior Sugac" or "An Seachtar Súgach"). AKA and see "Cavan Reel (2) (The)." Irish, Reel. C Major ('A' part) & A Dorian ('B' part). Standard tuning (fiddle). AB (O'Neill/1850 & 1001): ABB (Breathnach): AABB (Cole): AA'BB' (O'Neill/Krassen). Breathnach (1985) finds variants as "Miss Percy's Reel" (Northern Fiddler, 1978, p. 104), and "Around the World" and "Miss Kelly's (in Ryan's Mammoth Collection, 1883, pp. 65. & 57). A variant of the large "Highlandman" family. "Around the World [1]," "The Gravel Walk(s)," "The Highlandman that Kissed his Grannie [1]," "Jenny Tie Your Bonnet," "Miss Kelly," "Miss Percy's Reel," "Stenson's No. 1," "The Tailor's Thimble [2]."
