JOLLY TINKER [2], THE (An Stanadoir Sugac, An Tincéir Gealgháireach). AKA and see "Timpan Reel," "Timpán Reel (The)." Irish, Reel. A Mixolydian (O'Neill): A Dorian (Harker/Rafferty, Kerr, McNulty). Standard tuning (fiddle). ABCD (Kerr): ABCDE (Harker/Rafferty): AA'BBCCDDE (O'Neill/1850 & 1001): AA'BBCCDEDE (McNulty): ABBCDDEE' (O'Neill/Krassen). The melody was recorded in the 78 RPM era by piper Michael Carney (1928) and fiddler Paddy Killoran (1936).

Source for notated version: New Jersey flute player Mike Rafferty, born in Ballinakill, Co. Galway, in 1926 [Harker].
