Tune properties and standard notation

DOUGLAS. AKA and see "The Bridge of Lodi." Scottish, Hornpipe. C Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Not "Douglas's Favorite Hornpipe," but some similarities to "Quindaro Hornpipe." The tune belongs to a large family of related hornpipes -- see note for "Bridge of Lodi (The)". The name Douglas was originally a Celtic place-name, meaning 'the black stream'.
