COUNTY DOWN [1]. AKA and see "Kitty in the Fog," "The Kitten and the Frog," "The Stonecutter's Jig," "Young Tom Ennis," "Banks of Lough Gowna," "The Mug of Brown Ale [2]," "The Rambler From Clare [1]," "One Bottle More [2]," "The Ball (Humours) of Ballynafeidh." Irish (originally), American; Jig. USA, southwestern Pa. A Dorian. Standard tuning (fiddle). AA'BB. Bayard (1981) identifies this as one of the tunes from an indistinct but probably Irish tune family that has incorporated a variety of usually floating titles. In southwestern Pa. it was known as a martial tune.

Sources for notated versions: Hiram Horner, Hiram White, John Tustin, Hoge MS., George McCune (southwestern Pa. fifers and fiddlers) [Bayard].

Printed source: Bayard (Dance to the Fiddle), 1981; No. 601C, pp. 528-530.
