"Miss Crawford's (Reel) [5]" was composed by miller and amateur fiddler [[biography:James Barry|]] (1812-1905) of Pictou County, Nova Scotia, and appears in a small copybook of his compositions [1]. Barry was a skilled musician capable of difficult position playing. He composed this reel as a companion piece to MacAlpin's "Miss Crawford's Strathspey".
