TORE OF TROUP, THE. Scottish, Strathspey (whole time). F Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB. Composed by Kirkmichael, Perthshire, fiddler and composer Robert Petrie. The melody was included in his Second Collection of Strathspey Reels and Country Dances (1796, p. 2), dedicated to his patron and employer, Mrs. Garden of Troup.
