H:The original quadrille sett (sic) of dances was named "The Darkie Sett", which H:followed white folks' language of the time; pretty offensive in the modern era. H:Vivian found this tune to be the same as Figure 1, "The Meeting" (originally in C) H: in Henry Kleber's "The Engagement Quadrille", published in 1851.
