CURE OF ALL GRIEF. English, Country Dance Tune (6/8 time). D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. "The cure of all grief" is the name of a song by London bass singer and composer Richard Leveridge (1670-1758), from around 1730. It was adapted as a country dance utne and printed by John Johnson in his Choice Collection of 200 Favouite Country Dances (vol. IV, pg. 7, 1748). It was also published in London by I. Walsh in his Caledonian Country Dances (vol. II, part 1, pg 78, also printed in 1748).
