MRS. STEWART'S REEL. Irish (originally Scottish), Reel or Country Dance (cut time). F Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB. The melody appears in Malcolm MacDonald's 3rd Collection of Strathspey Reels (c. 1792) under the title "[[Mr. Stewart Oliphant of Rosse]", which probably predates its appearance in Tracy's small collection. Tracy was evidently a dancing master practicing in Dublin.
