KILLIMOR JIG. AKA and see "Port Ui Cheallaigh," "Kelly's Jig," "Killimer Jig (The)," "Killimore Jig (The)." AKA - "Kylemore (The)." Irish, Double Jig. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Composed by Tipperary fiddle player Seán Ryan (d. 1985). Recorded versions at the Comhaltas Archive date to the late 1950's (1957 is the earliest date). The tune is printed by Breathnach in Ceol Rince na hÉireann vol. 1 as "Kelly's Jig," from the playing of accordion player Sonny Brogan. Killimor (pronounced kill-EYE-mer) is a townland in east County Galway near Woodford, and not far from Sean Ryan's home across the Shannon River in Nenagh. There is a Killimor Ceili Band, as well.
