KILLOUR HOUSE. Irish, Reel. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABC. Composed by Philadelphia/County Cavan fiddler and composer Ed Reavy (1898-1988). Killour House, explains Ed's son Joseph Reavy, was the home of Matty and Bridie Murphy of the Neale, County Mayo, relatives of Ed's wife Mary Jo whom he visited in 1969. The Murphys had a simple cottage; no hot water or "fancy plumbing," but were warm and gracious people.
