CROPPIE'S STRATHSPEY. AKA and see "Mr. Douglas of Springwood Park." Scottish, Strathspey. G Major. Standard tuning. AB. The tune has been attributed to Peter Milne (1824-1907), a mentor and sometimes playing partner of J. Scott Skinner. However, there is some evidence it was actually composed by Alexander Givan of Kelso.

Printed source: Hunter (Fiddle Music of Scotland), 1988; No. 75.

Recorded source: Culburnie CUL110, Abby Newton - "Crossing to Scotland" (1997).
