KILCOY'S MARCH. Scottish, March (6/8 time). A Mixolydian. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. From Pipe Major William Ross's collection, book 2, where it is noted that the tune is "Very Old". Ross was a Pipe Major in the Black Watch from 1849 to 1854, and then served as a piper to Queen Victoria from 1854 until his death in 1891.
