MIST OVER THE LOCH. AKA - "Mist on the Loch." AKA and see “Merry Blacksmith,” “Devil's in Dublin (1) (The),” “Paddy on the Railroad.” Canadian, Reel. Canada, Cape Breton. D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. A version of the tune usually known among Irish musicians as “Merry Blacksmith (The).” This version is similar to that recorded by Michael Coleman in 1921 as the second tune of the set on the recording “The Boys in the Lough.”
