FAST, THE. AKA and see "Lads of Bonny Town." English, Country Dance Tune (6/8 time). England, Yorkshire. D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The exact melody was published in London by David Rutherford in 1750 in his Choice Collection of Sixty of the Most Celebrated Country Dances under the title "Lads of Bonny Town."
