MISS RANKEN’S REEL. Scottish, Reel. D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AA’B. The melody appears in the 4th collection of Malcolm MacDonald of Dunkeld, a volume dedicated to the Countess of Breadalbane. The first strain of "Miss Wright's Fancy" is cognate, but may have independently developed. The second strains are unrelated.
