LADY FLASHDASH HORNPIPE. AKA and see "Kershaw's Hornpipe," "Back of the Haggard." English, Hornpipe. England, Yorkshire. D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The melody appears in several British musicians' manuscript collections of the early 19th century, including those of John Miller (Perthshire, 1799), John Clare (Northamptonshire), Joseph Kershaw (Lancashire), Joshua Burnett (south Yorkshire), and Lawrence Leadley (Yorkshire, c. 1840).
